2017 Jeep Compass Owners Manual – The Jeep Compass crossover was launched a several years ago. An all-new Compass is being unveiled as 2017 when the outdated Compass remains distributed downward as a 2017 model. Perplexing? Of course. This review handles the old Compass.
This is an old item, fundamentally the same as the 2016 model, and it also lags associated with the Subaru Crosstrek, Mazda CX-5, and Toyota RAV4.
2017 Jeep Compass Model and Price
Jeep Compass Sport ($19,795) contains material furniture, air conditioner, Bluetooth with audio streaming, satellite stereo, manually controlled Microsoft windows and doorway locks. All-wheel drive is offered ($21,795).
Compass Sports SE ($22,185) brings warmed up entrance seats, leather-based-wrapped controls, and 18-in. alloy tires. The Compass 75th Wedding anniversary Release ($25,665) provides a power sunroof and look bits.
2017 Jeep Compass Exterior
Despite the fact that the styling is influenced by Cherokee, it is still a bit trapezoidal with round sides, a design that appears baffled.

2017 Jeep Compass Interior
The dash panel is not as blocky as it used to be, and there are some smooth-touch materials on the front door solar panels, but the cabin doesn’t sense of quite high quality in spite of leather-based upholstery. It is not up to the rate of competition like the Subaru Crosstrek, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, or Volkswagen Tiguan. The interior does not match up that of the small Jeep Renegade, a more modern design.
Some of the thing that makes the Compass sense dated is the very low sitting position; other Sports utility vehicles seat the driver increased, for a better view of the road. Even so, a level-variable motorist seat is available. The entrance seats are cozy sufficient, but the rear counter is challenging and smooth, and the middle passenger’s knee joints will likely be struggling with those of the luckier rear window passengers. There is also a cupholder in the way of that midsection passenger.
The laminated windscreen cup will help subdue the noisy engine, but we can’t say much more for refinement.
2017 Jeep Compass Driving Impressions
The 5-velocity guide transmission is okay and brings the very best gasoline miles. But the 6-pace automatic delivers unexpected refinement, so it is the way to go. Overlook the CVT, as it causes the unrefined engine to run at high rpm in lots of driving scenarios.
